Rev Peter Thomas – Congregational Church, Grassington
Reverend Peter Thomas has visited school both for staff CPD and to conduct collective worship in smaller groups in class. This has given children the time to reflect on their own thoughts and feelings.
Hand to Mouth
Hand to Mouth is a Christian charity that works in over 60 schools throughout Kirklees, Calderdale, Bradford, Wakefield, Sheffield and the Diocese of Leeds.
They run RE lessons in schools, which may include Godly Play, story telling, puppets and art work alongside an Amazing Journey.
At Westminster, Hand to Mouth work with year 1, year 3 and year 6 on spiritual journeys and the other year groups have a class based activity.
Life Church Link
We have good links with Life Church, who have hosted events for the children in school for Christmas, Easter and Fun Fayres in the summer. They have been very generous to our community.
Light Church Link
We have had visits from leaders within Light Church – John Kirkby came to share his story and share his links with the Food Bank. Josie Barlow has also continued the link with school. Children go to help out with the Foodbank. See our certificate for our latest donation!
Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust is a multi-academy trust serving the Bradford area of the Diocese of Leeds. We are one of the academies within BDAT with links with other church schools for CPD and support. There are 19 schools across Bradford both primary and secondary.
As we are a church of England school, we have strong links with the Diocese of Leeds. They give support, training and guidance to our school.
