French - learning a new language.
French Vision
Through our French curriculum, we aim to instil a love of language-learning. At Westminster CofE Primary Academy, many of our children are already bilingual and have grown up with a secure grasp of their home language (Urdu, Punjabi, Russian, Polish, for example) and are learning English as an additional language. We hope to build on these language-learning skills in our French lessons.
Our aim is that children become confident in speaking, listening, reading and writing French. Alongside this, we will develop their knowledge and appreciation of the culture of France and other French-speaking countries.
